This policy explains how JC Studios LLC (“JC Studios”, “we”, “us”) handles information in our mobile applications and on this website.
The short version
Our apps do not collect any personal information. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no transmission of your data to us or to anyone else. We could not identify an individual player if we wanted to.
Our applications
Chess Factions
Chess Factions does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. Specifically, the app contains no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting services, no social or third-party login, no in-app purchases, and no user accounts of any kind.
The app saves your preferences — display brightness, sound volume, music style, and similar settings from the Options screen — using your device's standard local storage. This information never leaves your device, is never sent to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Future applications
If an application we publish in future does collect information, this policy will be updated to describe exactly what it collects and why, before that application is released.
This website
This site has no analytics, no advertising, and no cookies. Like essentially all web servers, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical request logs — IP address, browser user agent, requested page, and timestamp — for the purpose of serving the site and protecting it from abuse. We do not use these logs to build profiles or identify visitors, and we do not combine them with any other information.
Pages on this site load a web font from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when you visit. Google receives your IP address as part of that request. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle it.
Email you send us
If you write to us at support@jcstudiosllc.dev, we receive your message and your email address, because that is how email works. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not share it.
Children
Our applications are suitable for all ages and collect no personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because nothing is collected from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we have nothing to delete on request.
Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give people rights to access, correct, and delete personal information held about them. We hold no personal information about users of our applications, so there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have written to us by email and would like that correspondence deleted, ask us and we will delete it.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. We have none to sell, rent, or share.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting an existing application will be noted in that application's release notes.
